Highland Gargoyles 1
Gargoyles, tree witches, and wolf shifters have divided the Isle of Stone after a great battle twenty-five years ago. When Kayla, a tree witch, hears about the unconventional rock concerts in the gargoyle’s territory, she sneaks from her coven and into their territory to see for herself. Night after night, she returns to see one in particular shift into human form and play guitar at these unconventional shows.

For several nights, Mason has kept watch for the pixie-like female. He plans to seduce her, thinking she’s a visitor from another island. When he discovers she’s one of the tree witches, he retreats, attempting to keep his distance. The temptation is strong, but forbidden.

Kayla and Mason attempt to meet in secret, but other elements on the isle command their attention. A magical cloak created by the three clans on the island is thinning, leading to repercussions for all the clans. Kayla and Mason are caught in the middle of it, and their actions may change the fate for all.

This novella was originally released as part of the USA Today bestselling Highland Shifters paranormal romance boxed set.

The crowd pushed Kayla closer to the stage as the last trails of fiery sunset faded. They knew what happened once darkness fell. She recovered her footing and focused again on the five life-sized stone gargoyles perched on pedestals on the perimeter of the stage. The space between them was set with instruments—guitars, a drum set, mic stands, and massive amplifiers, while a bonfire in a pit behind them cast the statues in a warm glow.

A stagehand with tartan draped over one shoulder climbed onto the stage and walked to the closest statue. He fastened the kilt over its shoulder and around its waist with a thick belt, covering the statue’s massive thighs. Kayla flushed, picturing why the coverings were necessary once the transformation began. The kilt had become a key detail in her fantasies about the guitarist, since it was the only clothing he wore. The stagehand continued dressing each statue with the same brilliant blue tartan worn by the gargoyle clan.

The last vestige of sunlight disappeared from the sky, and night draped the stage like a closing curtain. The statues loomed, dark silhouettes barely discernible by the crescent moon with the backdrop of the craggy cliffs and the rugged peaks of waves in the Atlantic Ocean behind them. The murmur of voices was replaced by silence. Waiting…

Five torches blazed on the stage all at once, lit by an unseen force. The audience erupted in cheers as the dancing lights from the flickering fire basked the statues. The flames lowered, casting the gargoyles in an eerie, almost reverent glow.

Movement. So slight, Kayla wondered if it was simply a play of light and shadows in her anticipation for the change. She fixed her gaze on the statue in front of her, the one she’d gravitated to each time she had sneaked out to see the show. Its massive gray form stood straight on two legs built for sturdiness. Its chest jutted out proudly. Gray wings with detailed feathers etched in the stone arched from a point below its shoulder blades. Eyes cast straight ahead on a face that appeared to be a mixture of canine and lion. Its right hand twitched, so slightly she would have missed it if she hadn’t stared so intently. Then a clawed foot inched forward.

Murmurs of astonishment burst from the crowd as the transformation began. Their cries of fervor grew louder as the monstrous statues transformed into taller, slimmer figures with the bronzed skin of warriors who battled under the midday sun. The tartan fabric fell over their thighs as they stood erect, covering their nudity.

Kayla barely blinked, mesmerized as always, as the statue before her stood to full height, taking on the form of a human male, but with beautiful raven wings. Hair just as black snaked rebelliously past his chin. The stony eyes flickered with animation, turning to a mossy green. His deep gaze seared the audience, seeming to burn anything in the path. When he found Kayla, he stopped. His expression was unreadable, but the intensity in his unblinking eyes made her swallow. She froze under the scrutiny as if hypnotized, unable to break eye contact. Her stomach lurched, heart pounded, and every muscle in her body tightened, fueled with blood now scorching through her veins. His penetrating appraisal affected her so. When his eyes took on a smoldering glint, her skin tingled and a red-hot awareness grew between her thighs.

He broke the stare and continued to assess the audience. She gasped, not realizing she had been holding her breath, and panted while she tried to breathe at a normal rate.

He turned on robust legs and strode to a guitar stand. She tore her eyes from him to note the other gargoyles. They, too, had shifted into the form of striking males. One had black hair draped further down his back, one had long blond hair, and two had reddish-brown hair—one wavy and shaggy, the other straight. They took their place at other instruments. She sought the guitarist again and caught the first sound of the pick striking the strings. On hearing the guitar projected through the amp, the crowd roared again, pressing Kayla forward.

The freak show was about to begin.

Spotlights flooded the musicians, powered by solar panels near a massive amplifier. The guitarist continued playing and the others joined in, playing a raucous crossover between hard rock and heavy metal. The one with long blond hair grabbed hold of the microphone and belted out a shattering cry that sounded like a call to battle. The crowd went pin drop silent to listen and then cheered in unison as the band played on. The front man sang piercing growls and low croons about the Knights in Stone, the protectors of the ancient forests, battling against the evil tree witches.
Kayla’s coven.

Photog Thursday- Newbie Edition: For the Love of Memories #photogThursday #photographer

Please Welcome
Naomi DeHart from For the Love of Memories
Photog Thursday- Newbie Edition

Give us the lowdown on who you are... where have you been? What have you done? What makes you tick.
My name is Naomi.  I was born in Texas but I've lived most of my life in Pennsylvania. I've traveled to Aruba, Grand Cayman, and Cozumel, Mexico.  I have a wonderful 9 year old daughter. I've worked full time at a pediatric dental office for the past 13 years. I consider photography as my hobby but my love for capturing beautiful images is what makes me tick.

When did you first know you wanted to be behind a camera for a living?
I've loved taking pictures since I was a little girl. I still consider this a hobby for me and not work. I don't ever want to get to the point where it feels like "a job."

We all want to know how you select the locations, people, etc that you shoot, or do you just wander around shooting anything that looking interesting?
When a schedule a client I ask them first if they have a location in mind. If not we discuss what they are looking for and go from there. Sometimes I will drive around and look for new locations.

What snags your eye first? Colors, lighting, textures, or something else?
Definitely colors! Especially this time of year, the fall brings beautiful color changes to trees and adds for great landscape images also!

What's the coolest location you've every photographed in?
I didn't have a photo session there, but Aruba is an amazingly beautiful location to take pictures!  There are many historic locations around the state where I have had a few sessions.

Do you love using digital medium, or are you nostalgic about the old 35mm?
Trying to keep up with technology and love using digital. It helps to see the image instantly and be able to make needed adjustments right away.

What was your first camera?
Hmmm, making me think way back! The first camera I remember having was a Kodak Instamatic camera w/ 35 Flip Flash

Have you taken classes on photography? Photo editing software?
I took a class in high school but I'm mostly self taught. Lots of trial and error. I've just played around with software. Never took any classes.

What's the best part of your job?
Capturing images that people will love and display forever.

If we were to peek into your office space what items would we see that might surprise us?
Nothing to shocking in there. It's a mess at the moment!

Do you listen to music while you edit photos or doesn't it matter?
Usually if there isn't the background noise of my daughter, haha

What do you absolutely enjoy about working with photography as a medium?
I love the image quality. Clear and crisp. I don't often use large format pictures but the few I have are beautiful quality.

What do you have coming up on your schedule that we might be interested in?
Fall is the busiest for me. I have at least one shoot every weekend, sometimes more.  That's a lot for a part-timer like me.

What ONE item would you absolutely have to have on a deserted island?
My camera of course!

Quick questions (one worders)
Chocolate or vanilla- CHOCOLATE!!
Morning person or night owl- night owl
can or bottle- bottle
wine or beer- wine
train or plane- plane
Vegas or Disney World- Vegas, haven't been there yet!

Author Spotlight: Mark Cisper ~ Erotic poetry and stories #eroticromance #poetry @MarkCisper

Please Welcome Mark Cisper... erotic author and poet

1. Tell us a little about yourself. How did you get into writing?
Answer: I got into writing back in a high school English class; it was my senior year, 1991-92. In particular when we were introduced to poetry. I enjoyed the freedom and artistry of poetry so much that I simply began to write my own in my spare time; and when I was suppose to be concentrating in my classes. It's amazing I got decent grades and graduated. From that point on poetry was a staple in my life; a sanity buffer if you will. I even referred to my hand written journal in which my poetry fill my bible of my ego.

Sadly, I must report that towards the end of 2003 I began to suffer from Writer's Block. My poetry basically came to a stand still and since then I have only written a handful of poems. Before my creativity completely deserted me I decided that I wanted to try something completely and utterly different than anything I have ever written; a novel. The writing began on September 27, 2003 and came to a conclusion on December 29, 2003. The name of that novel is Marina's Cries. I hope to have it published some time in 2015.

In 2004, I again attempted to write another novel; ironically, that is the novel I am currently working through now and I already have a title for it: Courtney's Charge. I have been working on and off again since I completed the first of my novel's The Princess Slave: Mei's Song (which I had begun writing as simply a short story in about October 2011) in August 2013.

It seem now would be a good time to let you know that it was in 2013, March to be precise in which my creativity decided to wake up from writer's block with a vengeance. People call it writer's block but I called it a Creative Coma that lasted 10 years. I have been looking for employment for sometime and decided I needed a break from that monotony. I took my laptop to a coffee shop and simply began to look through all my writings. I opened untitled short story and began to read through it making a few minor edits as I did so....next thing I know I'm suddenly writing and building onto the story from where I left off and became The Princess Slave: Mei's Song.

Side note before I go ahead and move onto the next question. This year, 2014, in a two and half month time span, wrote another erotic short stories book called Tales from Inside The Lair which is a counterpart book to The Princess Slave. I hope to have the cover work completed soon and to publish it sometime in 2015.

2. If we walked into your 'writing space' what would we find surprising?
Answer: There is nothing too surprising about my 'writing space'. My writing space is my bedroom...nothing more nothing less.

3. What is your favorite genre to read when you read for pleasure?
Answer: I suppose you could say sci-fi. Up until recently I only read Star Wars novels. Since publishing and getting s bit of an appreciation for eBooks I have expanded a bit; a lot of books which may or may not be similar to The Princess Slave. In a word: erotic.

4. Short answers:
Favorite Movie
Answer: Star Wars...all six of them and looking forward to number seven next year and the two after that.

Coffee or tea
Answer: Coffee

Beer or Wine
Answer: Wine; red, preferably a Merlot.

Diet or regular
Answer: Regular; too much to life then to to sacrifice anything for looks.

PC or Mac
Answer: PC

The Princess Slave: Mei's Song

Mei Song is an Asian Princess though only through the eyes of her lover John Hunter. Mei and John are introduced on her 18th birthday by her owner Howard Stephans; Mei is a sex slave whose sole purpose is to submit to the sexual desires and deviations of those men and women her Master allows to use her.

John came into her life but unlike all the others he saw her as a special princess and made it his mission to make her see that she is more then simply a sex slave. This is a three year journey in which Mei evolves from simply a submissive slave to learning about freedom and independence through her own desires through various mediums of artistic endeavors with the guidance of John.

However, both Mei and John must submit to various sexual perversities at the hands of not only Howard Stephans but others along the way to get to the absolute freedom in which Mei desires.

Excerpt from The Princess Slave: Mei's Song

Howard turned back and said, “John, as you can probably tell that none of these creatures are performers from The Tycoon’s Pleasures. No, those girls are simply my employees in which I pay for their performances. No, the girls here in The Lair are not paid for what they do for me or any other person in whom I either make a gift of or barter with. See, while not legal, these girls are my property and I am entitled to do with as I please.”

Wisdom Still Burns Deep

This volume of poetry is selected poems from the works of Mark Cisper. The selections are of his smaller pieces and those that that are his very best as well as his personal favorites; at least in his very own humble opinion.

Listed below are the titles of his 13 books of poetry which are yet to be published that these 50 individual poems included in this volume were selected from:

When Dreams Are Murdered; From the Ashes of a Murdered Dream; The Journey of the Soul; The Insane Poet; The Procession of Pain, The Sadness of the Perpetual Smile; Angel Song; The Insane Poet Strikes Again; With a Single Cry; Silent Watcher; Been Made to Suffer; Anticipation's Anticlimax; and Like an Ancient Temple.

The time span in which these pieces were written is from 1991 to 2003.

The Naked Pleasures of...

The Naked Pleasures of… is a collection of twelve erotic short stories and one poem. Originally, they were written in the form of poetry when The Insane Poet and The Procession of Pain was being written (these titles will be released in 2015).

The author decided that these stories and poem would be better suited to a book of their own. Thus, The Naked Pleasures of… was created by converting them into a closer resemblance of prose; though, still using some poetic license to give a different appearance then the standard prose writing.

When Dreams Are Murdered

Just like every story there must be a beginning. The same is true with poetry. “When Dreams Are Murdered”, in essence, is the Genesis of the works of poetry by Mark Cisper. This is to say, it is not the true beginning except for the first six poems; salvaged from other sources after the original 91 pieces he wrote in 1991/92 while still in high school were lost.

The time span in which these pieces were written is from 1991 to May 1993. This you will see is true for the author has included a Chronology at the end of the book; something he believes has never been done before in literature. This Chronology will demonstrate to you he exact date in which a piece was written; and at times will show several were written in a day as well as the gaps in time between pieces. One last note on the Chronology: you will see exactly when he began keeping track of dates.

Let's begin the journey of the life and works of the Word Art of the Poet by the name of Mark Cisper.

Mark Cisper was born January 26, 1973, in Sacramento, California. It was in San Jose that he discovered his love for the creative word art of poetry in high school. It was in his senior year in which he began to write regularly until he graduated and went into the United States Navy. From the point he discovered the word art until he graduated high school he had written nearly 100 poems; in the space of a few months.

After his failure in the Navy he returned home and began writing again. Unfortunately, in his attempts to woo a woman his original works were lost; only a few remain along with the unauthorized pieces he wrote in the Navy. So, when it comes to his poetry he wrote fairly consistently from 1993 through 2003. However, it was in the waning months of 2003 in which his writing began to suffer and fall into what he termed as a Creative Coma. However, as a last ditch effort to keep his creativity awake a little bit longer he decided to venture into a new realm of writing; that of the novel.

When he embarked on this venture he set aside three objectives. His first objective was to write something completely and utterly different from what he had ever written before. The second objective was quite simple and; to write it to a complete conclusion. His third and final objective was to hopefully spark some poetic inspiration with voices and mind sets other than his own. He was very satisfied to have completed these three objectives within the last three months of the year and completed it on December 29, 2003. This gave birth to Marina's Cries.

It is from 2003 until 2013 in which he has suffered greatly in his Creative Coma; his creativity only occasionally waking up for a little bit of literary inspiration. 2013 was the benchmark year in his creativity when he reviewed some stories he had begun during the Dark Years of his Coma. It was March 2013, when he began writing his second novel which he completed in August of the same year and entitled it The Princess Slave: Mei's Song and then published February 1, 2014 through www.lulu.com.

Ciana Stone's 'Hot in the Saddle' ~ The Men of the Circle R #eroticrom #cowboys #sexyread @syneca2

Hot in the Saddle:
The Men of the Circle R

Four ranchers as hot as the Arizona desert - men more than willing for a night of loving, but who all think that love is not in their cards. Oh boy does life has some surprises in store for them. They just might come to believe in love after all ... and a whole lot more.

Join Chase Hawks and his half-brothers Clay, Cole and Caleb Russell as they discover that falling in love sometimes means accepting things you never thought possible.

Links:  (only through Amazon right now)

Chase parked the truck in front of the house but made no move to get out. He was two hours early for dinner and he was annoyed. All day Ana Stillwater had crept into his thoughts, the way her golden eyes lit up when she smiled, and the way they darkened into pools of liquid fire when she was angry. Her lithe, supple body and the sensual, smooth and fluid way she moved. The way light bounced in little shards of indigo on her long silky hair. And that voice. That low, husky, please-fuck-me voice.

He groaned and leaned his head back. He’d only known the woman a day and already she’d bewitched him, crept into his damn head and taken up residence. There was only one thing he could do to rid himself of the spell she had him under and that was to have her. Sure as the world, if he had her, he’d be able to put her out of his mind and stop fantasizing like a damn schoolboy.

That’s what he would do. He’d give her a few days then he’d make his move. Charm the pants off her then fuck her brains out. With his decision made, he felt more himself. In control, just the way he liked it.

He got out of the truck and walked to the house. Music was playing inside, but it wasn’t anything he was familiar with. He opened the door, and all the control he thought he had fled like fog in sunshine.

Ana had her back to the door, her legs spread and was bent over at the waist with her head touching the floor, her forearms on the floor, hands clasped lightly. She saw him when he entered and smiled. “Hey! I thought you weren’t going to be here until seven?”

But Chase wasn’t looking at her face. Her firm rear was completely exposed except for a tiny strip of black material that bisected her ass cheeks. Her breasts were threatening to spill out of the low-cut top of the thong bodysuit.

He forced his eyes to her face and she laughed. “Yoga,” she said.

“Huh?” He hadn’t gotten blood to his brain yet, it was still concentrated in his little head which was not so little at the moment.

“Yoga.” She straightened gracefully and turned to face him.

“Oh, yeah, right.” To keep from staring at her tight little body encased in that sexy getup—cut high on her hips, barely covering her pussy and low at the top, giving him a good view of most of her breasts—he looked around the room.

And that’s when he noticed them. Crystals. On the coffee table. On top of the television, on the windowsill, the bookcase, the gun rack and even on the frame above the door to the kitchen. All sizes and colors.

“What’s all this?” He gestured around.

“Charging,” she said and watched him with amusement. Ana wasn’t a fool. She’d seen the way he looked at her. And she’d checked him out in return and noticed the impressive bulge in his pants. It was enough to make her mouth water.

“Yeah, charging the room.” She turned and picked up a large, dull, yellowish crystal from the coffee table, affording him another look at her ass. “This is calcite. Actually golden calcite which is a unique Welsh variety. It was my mother’s. Nothing better for energizing the crown chakra, and a wonderful energy amplifier.”

Chase didn’t quite know what to say. Although it did explain why that oversized duffel bag of hers weighed so much.

“This makes you uncomfortable.” Ana wondered why it had taken her so long to pick up on that. Maybe because of the sexual energy that was arcing between them. It had been a long time since she’d felt sexual attraction and she was positive she’d never felt anything even close to the intensity she felt from Chase.

“Sorry.” She snatched up a cloth bag from the sofa and hurried around the room, gathering up the crystals and putting them into the bag. She fumbled one as she started past Chase. It fell, but before it hit the floor, he caught it.

“Oh, thank you!” She smiled at him. “I would have been heartbroken if it had been damaged.”

“It belonged to your mother, too?” he asked as he handed it to her.

“Yes.” She placed the dark crystal in the bag and tied it closed.

“What does it do?”

“It relieves sorrow. Well, not really relieves it. More like it helps us to recognize that everything happens for a reason.”

“You think there is a reason, Ana?”

In that moment it came to her. It was all for a reason. All she had been through had been to lead her here, to this moment, and this man.

“Absolutely.” She looked up at him with eyes that beckoned like a siren to a doomed sailor.

Her eyes brought him a step closer to her. “Like you breaking down in Arizona and me running over you? You think there’s some reason for that?”

“Then why don’t you fill me in, Sassy?” His voice dropped to a low sexy growl that sent a shiver racing through her.

“You can call me Ana.” She slid closer, so close that she could feel the wave of heat coming off his body.

“Does that mean we’re friends now?” He moved in, placing one hand on her bare hip to pull her against him.

“No.” She traced one hand up from his chest to his neck then on up to push his hat off his head and rake her fingers through his thick hair. “But we will be.”

With that she pulled his head down. Her eyes remained locked with his and for the space of several heartbeats they remained frozen, eyes searching and breath mingling. Then her lips touched his, soft and gentle, a butterfly’s wings brush of the skin.

“Careful, Sassy. Play with fire and you’re liable to get burned.” Chance’s hand tightened on her hip, feeling the smooth soft skin and firm muscle beneath.

Ana heard the warning as clear as the need in his voice, and she agreed. Chance was not a man to play with. As many women has he’d had in the past, and as sure as he was that he would not be a victim to love, he was as vulnerable as she in many respects. The smart thing to do would be to back down, not push it. But that would go against her nature. She smiled and brushed her lips against his again, this time flicking her tongue out to run it over his bottom lip. “I like it hot,” she whispered.

“Then you’re going to love this,” he murmured just before he seized her lips in a kiss that had her vibrating like a plucked guitar string. Chase was not gentle or shy in his approach. His tongue plundered her mouth, as hot and hard as the hands that gripped her hips and pulled her more firmly against him, sandwiching his stiff cock between them.

Ana gave in to the kiss, matching his passion, their tongues battling for dominance as she undulated against him, her belly pressing against his cock in a sinuous fluid grind that had his hands moving to cup her firm ass and pull her even tighter against him.

When they finally came up for air, her eyes were a dark molten gold, her face flushed. She wanted more, wanted him to press for more, but knew instinctively that this was not their time.

“If you’ll excuse me, I need to change.” She backed away from him.

Chase reached out and grabbed her arm as she turned away. “I like what you have on.”

His passion-induced compliment delighted her. She chuckled, a low throaty laugh that had his hormones doing a fast two-step and something completely unfamiliar swell in his chest.

“What was that about playing with fire?” she teased.

“You think you could burn me, Ana?” He drew in close, his maleness overwhelming and compelling.

She smiled up at him coyly. “Believe me, Chase. When the time comes, you’ll need to bring a fire hose.”

Suz deMello "kinky Toes" Quickie Read #eroticromance #kinkyread #footfetish #fetlife

Writing Kinky Toes by Suz deMello (#kinkysex #foot fetish @fetlife @MFRW_ORG)

This short story was the first I wrote about a form of sexual desire in which I have no interest whatsoever. Okay, I like a pair of pretty shoes as much as the next girl, but I’m not sexually aroused by feet or footwear. The first time a man sucked my toes was after a hot and sweaty bike ride, and candidly, I thought the experience a little disgusting. Not for me—I wasn’t doing the sucking—but for the guy. Nevertheless, he seemed to really enjoy it, despite the unsanitary nature of the activity. (He was a doctor, too, which made what he did even more puzzling).

But each to his own, I say, and if someone indulges a fetish and doesn’t hurt anyone else (except with consent, of course) who am I to judge?

I wrote Kinky Toes during a time when I was exploring ways to keep the writing fresh by focusing on fetishes I hadn’t previously written about. Queen’s Quest (http://www.ellorascave.com/queen-s-quest.html) is another story from that period, and it posits a society in which exhibitionism is rampant and public sex perfectly acceptable—the conformation of the futuristic planet I invented is such that birthrates are low, and anything to get new births is encouraged.

I’m neither an exhibitionist nor a foot fetishist, so both stories were a departure for me. I didn’t know anything about foot or shoe fetishes, so I had to research both subjects.  Kinky Toes is the result.

Here’s what it’s about:
Genre: contemporary erotic romance
Shelbie Nathanson resents Rick Saldano's ascension to C.O.O. of her family's shoe company, a job she's wanted all her life. But she can't resist his red-hot, sexy style of lovemaking... one that focuses on her passion: shoes.

Here’s a snippet to sharpen your interest:

In the cab, Shelbie became even more aware of Rick, if that were possible. He was big. Not fat, but solid, sizable, with broad shoulders and an obviously muscular body beneath his suit. She couldn’t help sneaking a peek at his crotch. The suit’s fabric had pulled tight as he sat, tight enough that she could guess that six-foot-two Rick’s body parts were proportional.

Her mood had definitely changed.

He leaned closer, hesitated the tiniest fraction of a second before he brushed his lips against her cheek. Shocked, she jerked away, but he didn’t move, his gaze still pinned to hers.

She didn’t move either. The air felt thick, as though the very atmosphere were holding her in place. They sat staring at each other until the cabbie harrumphed. “Where to, folks?”

After giving the cabbie an address she didn’t recognize, Rick didn’t say anything during the cab ride. Rigid with a tension she couldn’t define, Shelbie didn’t have a word to say either, not even when he picked up one of her feet and rested it in his lap, atop his very substantial hard-on. She wiggled her foot and the stiletto heel slid across the bulge in his pants.

He sighed, so she did it again. Then again. He clamped his lips tight shut, apparently stifling a groan as his erection swelled even more.

He slid one finger along the exposed arch of her foot. It didn’t feel ticklish, exactly, but was tingly, the kind of tingle her pussy liked.

He inserted his finger into her toe cleavage. The spot between the big toe and the next was tiny, smaller than his index finger. His abrupt thrust hurt a little, and Shelbie had a mad vision of the time when she’d lost her virginity. Her pussy had been too small for the tool her then-boyfriend had wielded.

She had that same feeling now, an ache as something big intruded into her body’s smaller space. She tried to pull away but he persisted, twisting his finger until he’d pushed in as far as her shoe would allow.

He sawed his finger in and out and she bit down on her lower lip to avoid moaning aloud. She flung her head back, panting as he rotated his finger.

They arrived outside a row of brownstones near the park. He slipped his finger out of her toe cleavage and gave her foot a squeeze. An awkwardness she hadn’t felt since teenage sex overcame her as she dropped her feet to the cab’s floor. Rick paid the fare, ushered her out of the taxi and into the building…his building, she supposed.

The moment they were alone in the elevator, she sprang at him and pressed her lips against his. He wrapped his arms around her and held her tight as his tongue invaded her mouth. She sucked at him hard, shoving her hands into his hair. He tasted and felt divine.
Her body was aflame, all light and heat, and he picked her up as though she were made of insubstantial fire, weighing nothing...
