His obsession spells trouble and lust for her. Kidnapping her was never in the cards, but he doesn’t have the willpower to let her walk away.

A Siren Erotic Romance
Siren Bookstrand:

Her mind was not only shielded, but utterly untouchable. He pushed against the space her mind existed in. When nothing changed, he pushed harder. The focus did nothing to her, but the humans standing around her stumbled back. How was that possible? Humans rarely were able to keep him out of their heads, especially when he truly focused on them. Their brains just weren’t strong enough to withstand the assault.
He watched a blush creep up the female’s cheeks and realized he’d been staring at her for several long moments. With a grunt he broke eye contact and busied himself with his equipment. He couldn’t decide if he wanted to get out of the bar and forget the female, or find out how she was able to block him. She was a mystery that needed to be solved. His perfectly structured life had just hit a snag that he wasn’t sure he could let go. He hadn’t been thwarted in close to a thousand years. Vampires, humans, shifters, and even demons were susceptible to his control. How did this little human woman end up with such power? Had she been sent to him on purpose as a distraction?
The thought that another vampire was using this woman against him pulled a growl from his chest. He sent his senses out into the room, through the walls into the surrounding streets, but found nothing unusual. Perhaps he was being paranoid. He hadn’t faced an assassination attempt in hundreds of years. He was too old for most vampires to even deem approachable.
He wanted to know how she was keeping him out, even if it was just to answer the question. You could taste her, make a blood connection. The idea of a blood connection made other systems in his body come to life. He fed daily from some human or another, but actually to feed for a connection, not just sustenance, was something he hadn’t done in many years. He would speak with her, and if her answers didn’t satisfy him then he would feed from her. He could then delve into her mind and solve the questions she posed. He shook his head. He’d already spent far too much time thinking about the human female.

It was never safe to tempt the vampire nature by focusing too long on a given human. They usually ended up as sheep under the vampire’s care once they became fixated on someone. Alex already had a healthy population he fed from. He no longer kept a stock of sheep at a house, but he did frequent a set of humans that gave freely of their blood. He had no intention of taking another for his stockpile. This female needed to walk out of his life quickly before he set his sights on her.

Willie Krenshaw wanted nothing more than a few minutes watching the waters of Lake Erie after a long workday. What she ended up with was a drugged male vampire and an itch to be a Good Samaritan.
When her inner kitty starts sniffing around at the male she's helping, she knows Fate's evil sense of humor is in full swing. Being a shifter-vampire hybrid is hard enough, but having a male vampire as her fated mate is just too much.
Nickola, the vampire she assists, finds her breathtaking and does all he can to push Fate's agenda.
Stephen is the male vampire Nickola is investigating for the Council. He takes aim at the couple, intent on pulling Nick to his side or killing him. Between Stephen's scheming and the Council's interest in Willie, can they survive the chaos long enough to test the depths of their passions?
