A Siren Erotic Romance

Excerpt:
“Geez, Meg. You couldn’t pick someplace
a little more our style for tonight? This place is oozing desperation.” Renae
stared at the building and grimaced. The shack thumped with music so loud her
molars shook while they sat in her car in the parking lot. The structure might
have been brick, or adobe, or just twigs held together with twine and bubblegum
for all she knew. At the moment, it looked like a condemned building waiting
for a wrecking ball to wipe it mercifully off the face of the earth. Dirty
windows were held together by a spiderweb of duct tape. There were shingles missing
from the roof and at least three busted lights along the front. The whole thing
screamed, “Go back before it’s too late.”
“You, my dear, are a spoilsport. This is
one of the jumpingest places around here. And, I have it on good authority that
there is a very, very hot guy who sings on Friday nights.” Meg smirked
as she climbed out of the car. “See, I brought you to a show, not just a bar.”
“Whatever, but if we get mugged I am
completely blaming you for the rest of our lives.”
“You are so cute when you’re grumpy.”
“Shut up, Meg.” Renae sighed as she
climbed out of her car. She brushed her hands down the long tweed skirt she’d
thrown on. “Let’s go.”
The two walked toward the door and Renae
swore she saw a rat or two running from the building like they even knew
it was a deathtrap. The girls had been to some seedy places before, but this
one really took the cake. They approached the unmanned door. The peeling paint
and dented exterior didn’t do a thing to boost her confidence in the
establishment. She grabbed the handle and pulled the heavy door open.
Immediately she was engulfed in the smells of a bar—beer, wing sauce and smoke.
The music became exponentially louder and washed over her ears, deadening them
slightly and setting up a nice ringing deep in her head.
A hand tugged mercilessly on her arm and
when she turned to scowl, she found Meghan grinning from ear to ear. She
mouthed something, but Renae wasn’t good at reading lips, and there was no way
to hear her friend over the cacophony of sounds. With a tug and a push, Meg
maneuvered them inside the door. The smells and noise didn’t improve with the
few steps they took.
Renae wasn’t impressed. They weaved
their way through overheated bodies, most smelling unpleasant. Nothing in the
place gave her any reason to stay. At least not until a deep male voice rang
out into the room. Her body reacted immediately. Her heartbeat sped and her
stomach fluttered. Oh. My. The voice wasn’t just deeply male. It was
commanding, arousing, and utterly irresistible. Her feet moved her into the
crowded bar, and toward the tiny stage without her conscious thought. With the
first glimpse of the blond god singing into the microphone, her brain collapsed
in on itself and disconnected. She couldn’t have told anyone the words that
were coming from his perfectly formed mouth, but she definitely could have
described every inch of his face.

Willie Krenshaw wanted nothing more than a few minutes watching the waters of Lake Erie after a long workday. What she ended up with was a drugged male vampire and an itch to be a Good Samaritan.
When her inner kitty starts sniffing around at the male she's helping, she knows Fate's evil sense of humor is in full swing. Being a shifter-vampire hybrid is hard enough, but having a male vampire as her fated mate is just too much.
Nickola, the vampire she assists, finds her breathtaking and does all he can to push Fate's agenda.
Stephen is the male vampire Nickola is investigating for the Council. He takes aim at the couple, intent on pulling Nick to his side or killing him. Between Stephen's scheming and the Council's interest in Willie, can they survive the chaos long enough to test the depths of their passions?
