Blogging... Does anyone still read blogs?

I feel like my blog is that coloring book you find under the couch that you loved, but totally forgot you had. I miss blogging and the fun stuff I used to do on here. Does anyone still read blogs?

Taking more than a year off from writing has me reevaluating everything I did with my author self. There are new and old methods of promotions, social media shifts, and so many other things. A year shouldn't make that much difference. LOL

So. Who's still reading? What's been going on in your world? What great books have you read?

Sincerely,
Lea

RELEASE DAY ~ Switching Gears #paranormalromance #eroticromance

First kiss:
“I don’t care what you make for breakfast, I’ll eat anything you make me.” He kissed the top of her head. “But first I want to hold you and do this.”
Leaning back minutely, he gave her a squeeze and used his index finger to nudge her head up until round, hazel eyes studied him. A mixture of trepidation and longing swirled in their depths. He lowered his mouth to hers, slowly enough that she could have stopped him, but fast enough that she couldn’t think of a reason to make him stop. Sweeping his lips across hers lightly, tickling the corners of her mouth with his, gained him access when she sighed. Her breath, minty and cool, whispered over his senses. Instead of invading and tasting like he so wanted to do, he spent the moment learning the feel of her against him, her lips open and pliant under his, and the racing of their hearts as the beats vibrated through him.
Teasing her meant teasing himself, but it was worth it to hear the mewl of disappointment when he ended the kiss. One final, light press of his mouth to hers wasn’t even close to enough, but it would have to be for now. He touched his forehead to hers. “Good morning, mate.”

Releasing Nov 2nd

Blurb:
Amie Dorner is a lot of things: a little crazy, wild, and angry, and completely gun-shy when it comes to men. But when her should-be mate actually listens to her for once and stops coming around, she decides to take matters into her own hands. So what if her prank was mean? He could have ignored her the way he always had and look beneath the surface to the woman who wanted him despite her fears.

Zeke Marrow just wanted to finish his training run with the pack teens, but ends up entangled in Amie’s passive-aggressive revenge. Everyone can see enough is enough. He’s been listening to what Amie’s been saying and ignoring her body language. Being forced to reckon with her might end up driving them both insane, but it’s the will of the pack. And his coyote. And his libido.

Excerpt:
Months. Amie had pushed him away for months. Now that he had her accepting his advances and she was willing to let them explore their connection, his mind stumbled over all of the things he’d wanted to do to her. Hundreds of times he’d jerked off to images of her in different positions, glistening with sweat and begging for more. A shudder rocked his body and goose bumps erupted down his arms. Focus. Calm. He needed to make her scream his name as she came apart and to do that he needed to cool his own jets or he’d be firing off prematurely.

Zeke set her on the bed gently and took a single moment to run his gaze down her body. He’d caught a glimpse once of her naked at a pack run, but this time he’d be able to look his fill, know if his memories were right. Her chest rose and fell quickly, the pink that colored her cheeks had spread to her chest. He wondered briefly if it extended down to her breasts.

“You’re staring.”

Grinning he dragged his gaze to hers. “Yes I am. You’ve been hiding from me and I want to see you.”
The statement must have answered whatever question she’d had because she nodded minutely and relaxed, letting her legs drop open a little, and placed her hands on her belly. A fresh wave of hot need filled his nose and a glance at her jeans showed him what he’d already guessed. She was wet enough to darken the denim. At least both of their pants would need to be washed after this. His cock had jumped when he’d inhaled her scent and he could smell a hint of pre-cum on the air as well.

“Where to start.” He mused out loud. He continued when she scowled slightly. “Do I have you strip or do I undress you? Do I want to see this body unwrapped and not be able to touch as each inch is revealed? Or do I want to skim my hands over your skin while I slowly pull the clothes from your gorgeous body?” He pretended to really think about it, humming under his breath.

Chapter one- free read:

First kiss:
“Do you want me to kiss you? Is that why you’re staring at me, Cammie?” He shifted slightly on the seat and a zing of lightning shot up her leg when his brushed hers. He breathed his next words across the small distance between them. “I want to kiss you. I want to taste you on my tongue. Will you let me do that?”
Did she want to kiss him? Yes. Should she? That was a completely different question. She knew this was a dream, accepted it as truth. If she woke with a lingering affection for her dream man she’d be a depressed pile of goo for days. Keeping her distance was probably the right thing to do, but she really, really, didn’t want to do the right thing. She wanted to climb into his lap, and dig her fingers into his hair while sucking on his lower lip. She wet her lips in anticipation and almost groaned as the tingling intensified. Screw it, live in the now.

A moment after her tiny nod she was wrapped in strong, warm arms. She hadn’t seen him move, hadn’t felt his body shift, but both must have happened for her to be on his lap, straddling his thighs. Her eyes closed and she tilted her head back in acceptance. She’d force her mind to not dwell on the kiss she was going to get. She could do that, it was her dream, right?

Excerpt:
Cammie grinned at him before giving him the way out he was looking for. “So, let’s put all this craziness on hold and cook us some steaks, shall we? I’m in the mood for some meat.” She reached out and took his hand, waggled her eyebrows, and threaded her fingers through his.
The warmth of her palm wound up his arm and settled snugly around his heart, followed closely by the electrical hum of their mating connection. Walking into her home was strange. He’d spend the better part of three days wandering through her space, scenting things, but to enter it as a man was different. He knew the layout, knew how the floors felt under paws, knew what her sheets felt like against his fur. Stepping into her kitchen was like living a déjà vu moment after a dream. He knew where everything was, but hadn’t been there in this skin.
“Is it weird?”
He jumped at her question. Had he said something out loud? “Is what weird?”
“I saw you looking around with a quizzical look on your face. Is it weird coming here in this way, after being here so long in your wolfy form?”

Yeah, I'm going to say it again... I'm back (for good? Hope so)

So. It's been an eventful summer. I moved, or better put the family moved. The adventure started WAY back in the winter, but we are finally settled. New school. New house. We are in love with it. Along with that was a major surgery for my oldest minion.

To say that I didn't get much done in the way of writing is an understatement. It wasn't that I didn't want to write, or that I didn't have time... I couldn't. Stress sometimes spurs on my creativity but this time it definitely didn't.

Some of you have been anticipating the release of Switching Gears for over two years. Welcome to reading a crazy author. :D I love you all for sticking by me, giving encouragement and honestly being the best fans EVER.

With that being said, I have some great news. Switching Gears is with my editor RIGHT NOW. I sent it off to her last night. I'm reducing the price of Accidentally Yours to .99 and will be posting a release date in the next day or so. I'm shooting for the first week of November, but need to verify that with her first.

Am I back for good? Who knows, but for the moment I'm feeling productive, creative and am anxious to get a few more books out.

Love to all that have stuck with me!

Guicai Talisman #authorspotlight #mustread #newrelease @AMGriffinbooks

AM Griffin is my sista from anotha mista. We ended up needing roommates at a writer's conference and the rest of the story involves blow up sex dolls, being on boob duty and other details best kept secret. Her newest book is amazing and you all NEED to get it. Her characters are funny, spunky and downright awesome. Check out Guicai Talisman!

~~~~~~~~~~
What does a woman have to do to prove she belongs in the Undercity? Sure, I’m unclassed and only half paranormal, but that doesn’t mean I can’t solve cases. Since the established PI’s won’t acknowledge my right to a territory, I’m taking jobs from whoever will hire me, doing what I do best…proving myself to be a bad-ass problem solver. Which is how I find myself breaking into Zaid’s house, looking for a talisman my witch client says the very powerful vampire stole.
Now, I can make flowers grow, hear the wind’s whispers and talk to animals, but I don’t have the gift of seeing the future. If I did, I’d have known not to take this case. Because no matter the outcome, nothing good can come from messing with the Guicai Talisman, or it’s far too gorgeous guardian.
While Demarcus and I weren’t a couple any longer, he and Melia were still good friends. But I couldn’t hold that against her, since they’d known each other well before I was an egg in my mother’s ovary.
I pulled up to my apartment building and into a parking space that had my apartment number painted on it. My place wasn’t the Ritz, but it was home.
I flipped the switch, engaging the convertible top. “This was a good visit. You warned me against breaking into Zaid’s house. Thank you, I won’t do that anymore.” When the roof was fully closed and the locks clicked into place I cut off the engine, opened the door and got out of the car. Before closing the door I leaned down and looked over at the gorgeous demi-god that any red-blooded woman would’ve loved to take to her bed and said, “Goodbye, Demarcus.”
He leaned over and fixed his smoldering eyes, that promised great sex, on me. “Aren’t you going to invite me in for a night cap?”
I glanced up at the sky, which was sunny and bright. “It’s not dark yet.”
He reached for the driver’s seat headrest and let his thumb caress the leather, moving it in slow circular motions. I instantly imagined his thumb caressing a certain part of my body. A small, sensitive part of my body.
“We could hang out for a couple of hours,” he said, his voice low and deep. “We could do whatever grown people do to pass the time and then, after we’re done, it’ll be time for that night cap.”
I hadn’t had sex in god knows how long and, even though I would never mention it to him, he was my last lover. I took a deep breath, clamping down on my resolve. “No, thank you.” I closed the door, slamming it hard.
He angled his head so that he could look at me through the window. “You know you were the best lover I ever had, Baby.”
I narrowed my gaze on him. He’d told me that line time after time. “If that’s so true then why did you have sex with any female with a pulse while we were together?”
He opened his mouth as if to say something and then snapped it shut again.
I thumped my hand on the door. “Yeah, thought so.” I turned on my heel, leaving him behind.
“Rain check then?” he hollered after me.
I walked toward my apartment, swinging my keys around my finger. “No,” I said without giving him a backward glance.
I didn’t worry about him following me. Demarcus would find something else to amuse himself with. That was another reason we’d broken up—there was so many of them. I wasn’t enough to hold his attention for long, something more interesting than little old me always came along.
