Hearts on Fire Valentines Hop #giveaway #bloghop

Welcome to the Hearts on Fire Valentine Hop!
I've never been one to celebrate Valentine's Day with much more than a smirk. I know, cynical of me, but my husband and I have just decided that NOT trying to buy something for each other was actually better for our relationship. Now, don't read that and scoff, it's true. How often do people, usually women, complain the days after V-Day because their partner didn't get them enough, the right present, blah, blah, blah. So, we just decided NOT to get anything for each other. It works for us.

This is NOT the type of Valentine's Day that my heroine had, though. In some respects Heather's night of kinky love with her husband is the type of V-Day I'd go for. Valentine Master is a short BDSM-lite story that I totally loved writing. Heather and Mick have been married for a while. She broaches the subject of being submissive and assumes their marriage is in the tank. Mick, the sneaky hubby that he is, takes her on a wild ride one Valentine's night.

I'm giving away an ebook copy of Valentine Master and a $10 GC to Amazon.

  3. Yes, we go out to dinner the night before Valentines and watch love story movies the night of Valentines. After 20 yrs. together we like to stay home and relax, then deal with all the hustle on Valentines day.

  4. Lea, I totally get why you would choose not to celebrate the day. Even though I know it's all commercial and what-not, I honestly love celebrating it, but I never think about the things, just the words of love. Honestly, my favorite thing to get and give is a hand-made card and some time alone.

The story sounds great, by the way! I love married couple stories.

  6. I've been married 20 years now...sometimes, Valentine's Day is great. But, it's always sad when we've been in a down-time...it makes it hard to get inspired! LOL

  7. Hi Lea. I am having a quiet dinner at home with the hubs and watching the Olympics together. We don't go "all out" anymore as we've been married over 20 years, but we still give each other cards.
Thanks for the chance to win.

  16. It's kind of just another day for us. We will probably get take out, watch a romantic movie and have some wine. Actually neither of us are much for romantic movies, so I guess that is our tradition. And why we always watch classics!
