A Siren Erotic Romance
Siren Bookstrand:

The woman watched him with an intelligent gleam to her eyes. Her skin was a beautiful olive hue that spoke to a deep Mediterranean lineage. Her hair was black. Not the dark brown that so many called black. It was black enough that it shone blue in the harsh lights of the bar. Long and slightly wavy, it beckoned to be grasped and used as an anchor while he plundered her mouth. Her body was beautifully curvy. Plush breasts and hips were outlined by her conservative attire. He watched her chest rise and fall with each breath, watched the pulse at the crook of her neck beat. Each blink of her beautiful dark eyes was marked in his memory.
He was captivated.
She wasn’t staring at him with a blank look like all the others in the crowd. She saw him, really looked at him as a man. He hadn’t been truly seen by a human in so long it felt strange, unnerving and gave him a sense of vulnerability he found disconcerting. Humans saw what he projected, a fuzzed perception of a male. Most couldn’t see through that outer shell, and the ones that did quickly averted their gaze. He was formidable as a male specimen, but add in the power and utter lack of emotion and he was terrifying. He liked it that way. He didn’t have to pretend to care if no one could really see him. This human woman watched him with rapt attention. She’d tunneled through the fuzz, through his shell, and really saw him. A spike of anxiety flitted through his mind.
When he struck the last note on his guitar he stood for a moment, listening to the applause and whistles. His attention was riveted on the woman, and he watched her slowly raise her hands to salute him with her soft clapping. Her lips had parted and her breathing had sped when their eyes had locked. Perhaps she was feeling some of the same confusing emotions. Maybe the fast pulsing of blood through her veins was due to her reaction to him. He hoped for the second.
Alex shook himself from his thoughts. What did he care if she saw him, or even more, what did he care if she was affected by him? All humans were affected. That was part of being a predator of their species. His body exuded power designed to toy with their feeble minds, to show them things they wanted to see. She seemed to be an enigma, though. It had been so long since someone saw him for a male alone, instead of a powerful vampire.
There was one way to determine her thoughts, another of those powers borne of living as long as he had. Digging into thoughts and memories of a human brain was easy. At first when that power manifested, he found it fun to use, now it was just second nature. A tool in his arsenal to be used for protection and hunting. He touched his mind to hers, planning to burrow into her thoughts and be done with the questions. What he found was astounding.

If you haven't read the first book, Half in Love, here is the information and the links...

Willie Krenshaw wanted nothing more than a few minutes watching the waters of Lake Erie after a long workday. What she ended up with was a drugged male vampire and an itch to be a Good Samaritan.
When her inner kitty starts sniffing around at the male she's helping, she knows Fate's evil sense of humor is in full swing. Being a shifter-vampire hybrid is hard enough, but having a male vampire as her fated mate is just too much.
Nickola, the vampire she assists, finds her breathtaking and does all he can to push Fate's agenda.
Stephen is the male vampire Nickola is investigating for the Council. He takes aim at the couple, intent on pulling Nick to his side or killing him. Between Stephen's scheming and the Council's interest in Willie, can they survive the chaos long enough to test the depths of their passions?
