Lovestruck Blog and Hop

The Lovestruck Giveaway Hop
hosted by Under the Covers and Bona Fide Reflections
starts tomorrow and runs through June 22nd.

Love-struck: (adjective) having a passionate or overwhelming feeling of love; smitten

Our task for this hop was to come up with a book or a series that we have read which has left us completely smitten? A hero/heroine that makes other heroes/heroines pale in comparison to the feelings I have for my “true” love? Was I left feeling dissatisfied because there is just nothing else that can compare?

This was extremely difficult for me. There are many books I've read lately that stole my breath, made me want what the heroine had, but in all honestly I have it good. My husband is awesome. So, to do this hop justice I'm going to actually highlight a few of my favorite heroes, and their attributes that struck me.

Valiant (New Species, Book Three)First on my list of awesome heroes would be Valiant from Laurann Dohner's New Species series. If you haven't read the New Species series, this is book 3. The New Species are humans that had their genes spliced with predatory animal DNA. It makes them alpha, dominating, possessive and hunky. Valiant is my favorite because he just decides he wants the girl, and takes her. Period. There is no real wooing, he just lets her know that she is his, and he just pushes his agenda until she accepts it. Now, don't take that wrong, she loves the dominance and falls very quickly in love. But that persistence, and overly alpha-type male is fantastic.

Master of the Abyss
My next hero would be Jake Hunt from Cherise Sinclair's Master of the Abyss. This is book 2 of a series. Jake is a dominating male in every aspect of his life. This was one of the first BDSM books I'd read and it was a perfect introduction to BDSM-lite reading. Jake has his own demons he's battling, but don't all good heroes? I just fell in love with his personality and his ask-no-questions attitude. Sometimes a gal just needs to be told what to do with some consequences if she doesn't listen.

Love at First Bight The last book I'll highlight is another one of those books I keep handy on my Kindle and reread every month or so. Love at First Bight by Tymber Dalton has some of the cutest, most fun males I've read. Yes, males. Its a menage with some MM interplay. The males in this book fall head over heels in love with Emilia, the heroine, and are just beautiful to her. All three offer her something she needs, understanding, strength, humor. It is a wonderful sci-fi romance!

I'm excited to be giving away an ebook copy of any of the above or my current releases. It will be winner's choice. If I have 20+ entries I will pick two winners.

  9. I've been wanting to read Love at First Bight...anyways, Sookie from True Blood is one of my fave heroines along with Mercy from the Mercy Thompson novels because not many heroines can go through that much crap and still come out swinging. They are the definition of tough b*tches, yet they also have soft, cuddly sides that just make them more amazing.

  12. Woohoo! I love blog hopping!
What a great way to discover new blogs and visit with old friends. Everybody wins this way!
I absolutely adore all the men in Shelly Laurenston's Pack/Pride series, and G. A. Aiken’s Dragon Kin series. I re-read these two series all the time. They are full of sexy shifter men and lots of humor. I love humor in my romances and HOT SEXY MEN!!! If I have to pick just one guy that has me LOVESTRUCK, it would have to be “Smitty’ from the book… “The Beast In Him” by Shelly Laurenston. I re-read these two series all the time.
Thanks for being part of the hop and for the chance to win! <^_^>
